Empire of Hope Day Set to Benefit Retired Harness Racing Horses

On Saturday, July 29, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will host the fourth annual Empire of Hope Day. This event is dedicated to raising funds for the aftercare of retired harness racing horses, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Standardbred Transition Alliance.

Supporting Second Careers for Equine Athletes

Harrah’s Hoosier Park recognizes the contributions of racehorses that perform on the racetrack each night. As a gesture of gratitude, the event encourages financial contributions to help these horses find second careers and homes once their racing days are over.

Ways to Contribute

  • Guests can donate $5 at the Caesars Reward Center in the casino and receive $5 free slot play or a $5 race wager through Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s Give $5, Get $5 promotion.
  • On July 29, guests can donate $5 to the Standardbred Transition Alliance and receive a mystery voucher, with the top prize being $100.
  • Official Empire of Hope T-shirts are available for a $10 donation at the Programs Stand.
  • Donation boxes are located throughout the property for cash, coins, or Tito Tickets.

Racing fans are encouraged to wear their Empire of Hope T-shirts to the event and show their support for retired racehorses.
