Passkeys offer a more secure and convenient way to access your Google account. Here's how to set one up:

Requirements

  • For mobile devices: iOS 16 or Android 9
  • For computers: MacOS Ventura or Windows 10
  • Supported web browsers: Google Chrome 109, Apple Safari 16, or Microsoft Edge 109

Setting Up Your Passkey

  1. Open your preferred web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.
  2. Visit g.co/passkeys.
  3. If you're already logged in to your Google account, enter your normal password to verify your identity.
  4. If you need to switch accounts, select the current email address and choose from your other Google accounts.
  5. Create your passkey when prompted.
  6. The passkey will be saved to your device (e.g., iCloud Keychain on iOS).

Consider using a hardware security key for added protection.
